How do you bet on a horse race January 27th, 2012

Ok. I know you could put 2 dollars on a horse but how do you know what you win?
Say the odds are 10 to one and you bet 5 dollars- what do you win?

  • if you bet $10 to win you would win $55. you multiply the money you bet times the odds and then you add what you bet. if you win you always get your initial bet added to your winnings.
  • The below payouts are all based on a straight up bet of $2.00 to win…….
