Due to the threat of severe weather throughout Texas thanks to Hurricane Ike this weekend. September 11th, 2008
Due to the threat of severe weather throughout Texas thanks to Hurricane Ike this weekend. The University of Texas has postponed its football game with Arkansas scheduled for Saturday at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The game will be played on September 27.
We have been monitoring this situation since Sunday and, at this time, feel confident this is the right thing to do, Texas mens Athletics Director DeLoss Dodds said. A football game becomes less important when you are dealing with the safety of the people of Texas.
The Longhorns and Razorbacks both have a bye on September 27, so the game has been rescheduled for that date. Kickoff time and television will be announced at a later date.
